Another option is to copy the code into your acad. Thats one way to keep all of your custom patterns seperate from the default ones. Then in autocad run the cmd 'op' and click on the files tab then go to 'working support file search path' then add a file path and find the folder you just made and your hatch patterns will be in autocad under the custom tab. I made a folder named 'pats' then i copied all of the custom hatch patterns into that folder. I can't figure out where to save them, so that they upload with the other hatches already present.
